Things to check off your bucket list

Take a walk on a deserted beach: We all know that as good as summer time in Cornwall is, it can also be frustrating, especially if you head down to your favourite beach to find every square inch of sand taken up with towels and wind breaks. In the Autumn, however, you’ll find your favourite beach is much quieter. So, why not take a stroll on the golden sands and watch the waves roll in. Here’s some of the best beaches in Cornwall

Watch the sunset or stargaze in Cornwall: Bodmin Moor is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) offering stunning panoramic views. Earlier this year it attained International Dark Sky status, meaning there is no artificial light nearby to ruin your view of the night sky on a clear night.

Take a trip on the Bodmin & Wenford Railway: Our Cornwall holiday park is just a short distance from the iconic Bodmin and Wenford Railway and you’ll be transported back to the golden age of the railways in Cornwall.

Poldark’s Cornwall: Are you fan of TV drama Poldark? The crowds of Summer have left, giving you the chance to follow in the footsteps of Ross, Demelza explore and enjoy Cornwall’s Poldark-themed discovery trails.

Go back in time: Lanhydrock House and Garden near Bodmin, is a magnificent late Victorian country house with servants quarters, gardens and wooded estate. Tour the grand house, soak up the history and enjoy a gentle stroll around through the estate.

See the Autumn leaves in woodlands: Nothing beats walking through a woodland with colourful crunchy leaves scattered on the floor. Take a look at the family friendly walks around Cornwall and plan your perfect meander.
